Quantum Effects 2025

October 10, 2025 — Looking back at Quantum Effects 2025

Quantum Effects 2025 – International Meeting on Quantum Innovations

At QuantumBW, we look back with great enthusiasm on Quantum Effects 2025, the international trade fair for quantum technologies, which took place in Stuttgart from October 7 to 8. QuantumBW was there with a large joint booth and numerous network partners—an impressive milestone for the promotion of quantum technologies in Baden-Württemberg, which once again demonstrated what THE LÄND, Germany, has to offer in the world of quantum.

The large, yellow QuantumBW joint stand formed the heart of the trade fair, symbolically reflecting QuantumBW’s central role in the quantum technology ecosystem in Baden-Württemberg and beyond. As a living center, the booth offered a wide range of quantum technologies and application examples with a focus on the following industries: biomedicine, materials science, AI, mobility, and space travel. The exhibiting research partners from the QuantumBW network impressively demonstrated the state’s innovative strength. Participants included the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Fraunhofer Institutes IAF, IAO, IPA, IWM, and IPM, IQST, QSens, Hahn-Schickard, Thales, PhotonicsBW, Bw_i, The Quantum Future, and The Aerospace Länd.

In addition to the exciting application demonstrators at the exhibition stands, there was also a wide range of specialist presentations and discussions, including panels on topics such as industrialization, defense, the high-tech agenda, and quantum networks. The many exchange platforms and formats attracted a large number of visitors and offered exciting insights into the future of quantum technologies.

Among the highlights of the fair were the opening ceremony with Baden-Württemberg’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, and the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between GENCI (Maisons du quantique) and QuantumBW. The aim of this agreement is to strengthen knowledge exchange and cooperation between the French and Baden-Württemberg quantum technology ecosystems.

After a trade fair like this, it becomes clear once again that we are on the path to a successful and exciting future with practical applications of quantum technologies. We are already looking forward to Quantum Effects 2026!
