Understanding Quantum Technology – Leibinger Begegnung

This ‘Leibinger Begegnungen’ event will explore the fundamentals as well as the latest developments in quantum technologies. The event will discuss the opportunities and challenges, the history, and how societies deal with the challenges and opportunities presented by quantum technologies today and in the future.

2025 is the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ2025), providing a valuable opportunity to discuss one of the most exciting and transformative technologies of our time. While quantum technologies are opening up new possibilities in communication, information processing and measurement technology, they are also prompting us to question their influence on our understanding of physics and nature. Even 125 years after Planck introduced quantum theory, classical physics still shapes our culture and society.
