Pfizer Joins the Quantum^BW Network

Quantum^BW welcomes Pfizer as a new network partner. The Pfizer Health­care Hub is one of the innova­tion drivers at Pfizer Germany and a great addition to the Quantum^BW network. As one of the world’s leading research-based pharma­ceu­ti­cal compa­nies, Pfizer brings impor­tant key compe­ten­cies to the Quantum^BW ecosys­tem to explore the poten­tial of quantum technolo­gies for the health­care indus­try and make them usable at an early stage.

The Pfizer Health­care Hub in Freiburg acts as the central innova­tion driver for Pfizer Germany. The team led by Peter Neske, Pembe Gül Bilir, and Oana Elena Stürz works closely with inter­nal special­ist depart­ments and exter­nal partners to link specific use cases from the Pfizer universe with innov­a­tive technolo­gies. By joining forces, Pfizer and Quantum^BW are under­scor­ing the innov­a­tive strength of the state of Baden-Württemberg and taking a decisive step toward the second quantum revolu­tion in medical technology. 

Pfizer sees the collab­o­ra­tion with the Quantum^BW network as an oppor­tu­nity to set new standards in drug deliv­ery and meet the challenges of modern health­care. “With selected projects, we want to show that it is worth­while to explore the poten­tial appli­ca­tions of future technolo­gies, such as quantum comput­ing, at an early stage,” explains Peter Neske, Innova­tion Lead at the Pfizer Health­care Hub in Freiburg. “By using such innov­a­tive technolo­gies, we can improve and accel­er­ate the supply of vital medicines to our patients.”
