With the final event in Offen\u00adburg on Novem\u00adber 4, 2025, this year\u2019s QuantumBW<\/sup> roadshow comes to an end for now. We can look back on four success\u00adful events with count\u00adless fruit\u00adful discus\u00adsions between research and indus\u00adtry \u2013 exactly what a strong quantum ecosys\u00adtem needs, and what sets Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg apart!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To provide an intro\u00adduc\u00adtion to the quantum world, we launched the QuantumBW <\/sup>Roadshow. Together with Photon\u00adics BW and the support of the Chamber of Indus\u00adtry and Commerce (IHK) locations in our host cities, we give small and medium-sized enter\u00adprises an insight into the poten\u00adtial of quantum technolo\u00adgies. For our fourth and final stop for the time being, we were guests at Offen\u00adburg, Germany, with the South\u00adern Upper Rhine and the Karlsruhe Chamber of Commerce and Industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

The QuantumBW<\/sup> Roadshow in Offen\u00adburg attracted around 70 partic\u00adi\u00adpants, includ\u00ading repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtives from clinics, the pharma\u00adceu\u00adti\u00adcal indus\u00adtry, the construc\u00adtion machin\u00adery sector, univer\u00adsi\u00adties of applied sciences, and compa\u00adnies such as Edeka and Chari\u00adtas. This diver\u00adsity of the partic\u00adi\u00adpants ensured an excit\u00ading exchange of ideas about innov\u00ada\u00adtive technolo\u00adgies and their applications.<\/span><\/p>\n

The strong response from indus\u00adtry to quantum technolo\u00adgies was partic\u00adu\u00adlarly motivat\u00ading for the exhibitors from our QuantumBW<\/sup> network: for example, the great poten\u00adtial of quantum sensor technol\u00adogy in medical appli\u00adca\u00adtions such as the detec\u00adtion of previ\u00adously undetectable forms of breast cancer. It is precisely this kind of feedback on poten\u00adtial appli\u00adca\u00adtions that motivates our first-class researchers in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg to continue advanc\u00ading quantum technolo\u00adgies even further.<\/span><\/p>\n

Such valuable momen\u00adtum is only possi\u00adble through events where quantum experts can connect with inter\u00adested compa\u00adnies. Without this direct exchange, many would be denied access to poten\u00adtial partners for joint trans\u00adfer projects and, ultimately, the path to ground\u00adbreak\u00ading devel\u00adop\u00adments in quantum technolo\u00adgies. The QuantumBW<\/sup> Roadshow 2025 not only imparted knowl\u00adedge but also created valuable connec\u00adtions between science and indus\u00adtry. QuantumBW<\/sup> will continue to develop this format.<\/span><\/p>\n
